Emergency Support Services Volunteer

/ monthly
At least six months - can be ongoing
Have you wondered what happens when a family is displaced by a house fire or there is a local emergency such as flood, forest fire or environmental disaster? The Emergency Management Program of BC provides short term accommodations, meals and in some cases clothing and incidentals as well as supporting reunification of family members who have been separated. Campbell River Emergency Support Services Volunteers deliver these supports locally to our citizens impacted by an emergency. We are currently recruiting new members to help meet the increasing needs of emergency response in Campbell River through the ESS program. CRESST also needs volunteers to help ensure resources are ready and available when needed for those who are interested in behind the scene logistics. For more information or to receive an application please call Volunteer Campbell River at 250-287-8111 or email mail@volunteercr.ca and request an application package. CRESST volunteers are required to submit a Police Information Check and attend training opportunities. An information session to learn more about being a CRESST volunteer will be held in early March. Details to come.
