Fruit Pickers - Fruit Tree Project

1195-C Fir Street, Campbell River, BC, V9W 3B7 [map]
10 hours / weekly
Come when you can!
The Fruit Tree Project is a gleaning program that connects fruit tree owners who don’t want to or are not able to harvest their trees with a group of volunteer harvesters. The harvest is split between the owner, volunteers, partner organizations in our community who distribute fruit to those who need it, and program cost recovery (to help contribute to an ongoing project).

We coordinate the picks, and you let us know if you'll be able to make it!
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
A Fruit Tree Project comes with many benefits including less food wasted, less fruit on the ground to attract bears and wasps, and promotion of a healthy diet for everyone receiving the fruit, including the tree owners, volunteers, and recipients through community organizations.
