Volunteer Marketing Manager

3 hours / weekly
min 3 Months
Role: To provide Marketing support to the Director. In addition, leadership and mentoring to volunteers within the marketing department.

Skills Required: Ideally, you have 5+ years of experience in Marketing Communication or similar fields and 3-5 years supervising or mentoring staff. This is an opportunity after the years of growth and success in your field to give back to your community through support and mentorship for the next generation of marketing leaders.

Time Commitment: Flexible, Agreed Upon

Your Role will be built through a dialogue with the ED, below are some of the things you may do in this role

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
•	Develop and implement strategies to raise awareness and support of the Zyp Art Gallery.
•	Design and execute successful traditional and digital marketing campaigns.
•	Direct content creation, content curation, pay per click campaigns (Google Ad Grants), event management, public relations, communications, social media and performance analysis.
•	Create engaging content for the website, to attract and convert target groups.
•	Ability to partner with other organizations to work on joint collaborations, (stakeholders can be municipal or tourism organizations).
•	Make recommendations for marketing department finances
•	In conjunction with the director, oversee and approve marketing material, including graphic design, copywriting, promotions, and strategies.
•	Audit and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and conduct a comparative analysis against goals and objectives with the Analytics Department. 
•	Analyze consumer behaviour and adjust marketing campaigns accordingly.
•	Creating/updating an annual marketing plan
•	Perform any other related duties within reason, as deemed by you and required by the Director.

The Ability to Navigate:
•	Social Media – Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
•	Google Suite – Gmail, G Drive, Sheets, Docs and Google Calendar

•	Comfortable with Digital Team Collaboration Tools: Communication with team members, candidates, and partners


SOFT SKILLS
To successfully fulfill the duties of this role, an individual ideally possess the below skillset:

•	Great written and verbal communication skills 
•	Exceptional organizational and time management skills 
•	The ability to build and maintain strong team relationships 
•	Ability and desire to engage with youth, undergrads, and/or new graduates in a mentoring capacity

Certification or Education Required
Ideally Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication or similar discipline. Or equivalent education and work experience.
