Volunteer Human Resources Manager

3 hours / weekly
Min 3 Months
Role:   To provide human resource and administrative support to the Director. The Volunteer Human Resource Manager will be provided the opportunity to lead volunteers within the HR department, assist in managing the recruitment process for the program, develop policies, co-manage the HRIS, liaise with supporting partners, successful candidates and the general public. 

Skills Required:   Ideally, you have 3+ years of experience in HR and 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role supporting staff.

Time Commitment:  Flexible, to be agreed upon

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

•    Assist in overseeing the design and implementation of the overall 
     recruitment strategy and procedures. 
•    Design and update contracts, role descriptions and offer letters, 
      customized to fit the needs of each role.  
•    Assist in sourcing candidates using databases, social media and other 
      methods. 
•    Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, employment law and new 
      technologies in HR.
•.   Provide HR support and guidance to volunteers
•    Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection 
      tools/methods. 
•    Assist in assessing applicants’ related knowledge, skills, experience and 
      aptitudes.
•    Design and execute a performance management process/system.
•    Assist in developing learning and development initiatives for volunteers.
•    Prepare analytical and well-documented placement reports. 
•    Act as a point of contact throughout the recruitment and volunteer 
      process. 
•    Build and maintain positive candidate and partner relationships during the 
      selection and placement process.
•    Identify ways to continually improve the Human Resource function. 
•.   Perform any other related duties within reason, as required by the 
     Director.

Certification or Education Required
Ideally a Certificate, Diploma, Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Management or a similar discipline.
