An event like TEDxYYC only comes together with the support of many talented people, with diverse backgrounds and skills. The combined experience of our team and the grassroots approach to collaboration are what make TEDxYYC so impactful! We know the diversity of talent of our team is a huge asset, giving us the ability to create a memorable event year after year. The Head of Social Media oversees all TEDxYYC social media accounts. Develops engaging, creative, innovative content for regularly scheduled posts, which enlighten audiences and promotes the TEDxYYC brand in Calgary and beyond. Other duties include: - Working directly with the Head of Marketing and Communications and closely with all teams. - Develop and maintain social media strategy and calendar - Oversee all TEDxYYC social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube etc.) - Coordinate social media team’s efforts - Promote annual event and increase tickets sales through dynamic and engaging posts, contests and sales - Direct traffic to website, YouTube channel and community partner pages - Respond to questions and comments on these channels Time Commitment: 12 - 20 hours/month Qualifications: Previous experience managing social media accounts Previously developed social media plans / calendars TEDxYYC is an equal opportunity organization and all walks of life are welcome to be a part of our committee and our events.
