COVID-19 Support

Send Food to Those in Need

no physical address, calgary, AB, T2T 1G9 [map]
until the COVID-19 crisis is over
With the rise of the COVID-19 pandemic, families are stocking their households with food and supplies to hunker down for a few weeks. This is a costly endeavor that not everyone can afford.

If you can use a little help or are able to provide support, please sign up here: https://www.sharethegoods.ca/

Please send people to us that can use food and please come to our site if you are able to send food to those in need. We also need assistance sharing the platform with community groups in touch with vulnerable populations. If people can’t contribute financially, an awesome way to help us out would be to spend some time reaching out to groups in the community and letting them know about our platform and the support offered.

How it works
Sign up
Need a little help with food or household supplies? Want to help someone in need? Provide your email and answer a few quick questions.

Match
Look out for an email. We’ll put you in touch with someone who needs a little help or can get you what you need.

Deliver
Coordinate with your match to find out what they need and where they need it.

A few tips.
Once you get your match’s email, here are a few tips to make the exchange as smooth as possible.

Online ordering is your friend.
To practice social distancing, we encourage you to place an online order from a store on behalf of your match. Have it delivered to their desired location or have them pick it up in-store. Some Canadian stores that offer this service are:

Save-On Foods
Spud
Amazon
Instacart (Wal-Mart, Loblaws, T&T, Superstore etc.)

Have a grocery list.
Unsure what to buy? Here’s a grocery list to get you started. Don’t forget to ask your match if there are specific needs or dietary restrictions you should be aware of.

Take care out there.
If for some reason online delivery or in-store pickup isn’t an option, be extra cautious when doing any in-person shopping and delivery. Dropping it on your match’s doorstep is recommended if in-person is the only option. We all need to do our part to limit our contact with others so remember to stay safe and scrub those hands!
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
People are in need!
