Public Committee Members bring an external perspective to the Finance and Audit Committee and are a natural succession planning mechanism as official Board roles become available each year. Be a critical part of the financial health and sustainability of the organization. Public Committee Members are accountable to the Board in the following ways: · Prepare for committee meetings and contribute to the decision making process. · Provide input to the Board of Directors in Financial disclosures, investments, risks and other financial information are overseen to ensure their adequacy and appropriateness for the community and members. · Support the board in the appointment of the auditor, preparing for the approval of the budget and oversight of quarterly results. · Oversight of investment objectives and investment performance criteria. · Oversight of asset allocation strategy and overall investment portfolio structure · Oversight of organization’s risk management. · Provide input toward decisions made by the Board consistent with Board policy. · Represent Propellus at events as appropriate.

Designated accountant or finance professional (CPA, CFA) required with 5+ years of work experience. o Experience with financial analysis, audit and assurance, internal control, budgeting, risk management, governance, tax, etc. o Prior experience with non-profit operation and boards an asset
