Research Project for Kerby Centre (Holidays/Celebrations/Observances)

The Kerby Centre is a not-for-profit organization, committed to enhancing the lives of older adults and we are looking for volunteer to assist our Marketing Department with a research project. 

The project would consist of compiling a list of the various larger world holidays/celebrations/observances that go on. For example, Chinese New Year, Groundhog Day, Valentines Day, Cinco de Mayo, St. Patrick's Day,  Easter, Earth Day, Ramadan, National Grandparents Day, Seniors Week, Rosh Hashanah, Sukkot, Yom Kippur, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Christmas, Remembrance Day, Canada Day etc. etc. etc.  

Then providing a very high-level description/context about the holiday so that we can properly acknowledge it. This would include: 

-Holiday/Celebration/Observance Name:
-Start Date:
-End Date:
-Short blurb on the group of people celebrating it (country, religion, group of people) and what the holiday is celebrating.
-How to appropriately acknowledge the holiday in the language the group uses.
