Position Summary
As part of our Learning Guides Program, we develop guides for neighbourhood organizations. From our Research Program, we find a variety of skills and tools being used by neighbourhood leaders from around the world. We turn these skills and tools into learning guides, similar to Coursera, to make them more accessible.

As our Learning & Development Manager, you will lead a team of specialists as part of our Learning Guides team to design, develop and maintain our learning guides based on instructional design and best practices to engage and motivate learners. You should be familiar or interested in developing a curriculum for e-learning through a MOOC platform. 

Duties & Responsibilities
As our Learning & Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

Leading a team of Learning & Development Specialists to support the stages of the learning lifecycle including developing strategy, curriculum design, content development, delivery support, measurement and maintenance.

Maintaining and improving our currently available learning guides in both analog and digital formats.

Lead the creation of new learning guides in both analog and digital formats.

Conducting research to find high quality content related to specific topics to add to each learning guide.

Implementing the use of current techniques and processes used in the design and development of each learning guide.

Using creative, critical and analytical approaches to the development of learning guides.

Qualifications
Have a strong interest in city making, innovative thinking and processes
Graduated or enrolled in a University degree, College diploma or Certificate
Experience with leading teams
Effective oral and written communication skills
Have an entrepreneurial spirit with a strategic mindset
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to recruit and manage a team
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong interpersonal skills with a desire to engage with our community of city-builders
