Director of Strategy

The purpose of this role is to lead our strategy team. Our strategy team is tasked with developing and updating strategies for the organization. This includes our organizational-wide strategy, as well as our team, focused strategies. In addition, the team is tasked with collecting data on KPI's and producing our quarterly KPI reporting. In addition, this role is expected to provide legal advice to the organization. The Board of Directors at Imagine Cities is a working Board. Alongside their executive responsibilities on the Board, Directors are also responsible for a core function of the organization. You will be responsible for leading our strategy team. This includes developing and executing a plan to meet the requirements of the team. It will also require you to recruit team members with the support of our talent acquisition team. Each strategy will include a term of reference in addition to completing a templated strategy document. You will also be responsible for providing legal advice and seeking advice from your network when the required information is not in your area of expertise. It is also understood that the person filling this role may not be able to acquire all the legal advice required. Additional Details & Skills Required
● Graduated with a law degree and a practicing lawyer with at least 3 years of experience ● Effective oral and written communication skills ● Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to supervise and motivate volunteers ● Ability to develop and execute strategies ● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ● Ability to work independently and as part of a team ● Sound computer skills including operating Google Suite ● Desire to learn about the nonprofit sector
