Coding Tutor - Summer Camp
Are you passionate about empowering students to reach their full potential? Join our dynamic team of dedicated educators who are making coding education accessible and enjoyable. We are excited to announce our upcoming online coding summer camp, taking place from June 19th to June 30th, 2023. We are actively seeking enthusiastic individuals with a strong desire to learn and teach, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to adapt to students' diverse needs and learning styles. If you're a multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment, we would love to have you on board! As an online coding tutor, you will teach virtual class catering to students in grades 3 to 12 while inspiring young minds, fostering their interest in coding, and helping them develop essential programming skills. You will be asked to: • Conduct engaging and interactive online coding classes for students in grades 3 to 12. • Utilize provided training materials and curriculum to deliver effective lessons. • Adapt teaching methods and strategies to meet individual students' diverse learning needs and skill levels. • Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. • Provide clear explanations and demonstrations of coding concepts, techniques, and best practices. • Guide students through hands-on coding exercises and projects to reinforce their understanding. • Offer constructive feedback and support to help students overcome challenges and improve their coding abilities. • Monitor student progress and track their achievements, providing regular updates to parents or guardians. • Collaborate with other tutors and the instructional team to enhance the overall learning experience. • Attend training sessions and professional development opportunities to continually improve your teaching skills and knowledge. Volunteers will be asked to commit to a 4-hr (8:00-11:30 MT time) shift between June 19th to June 30th, 2023.

Certification or Education Required
Required education: • A university degree or currently working towards a degree at an accredited academic institution with a minimum of 2 years completed. • Previous tutoring/teaching experience would be an asset.
