Marketing Committee Chair

1. Work with Committee Chairs to develop, maintain and implement annual marketing and communications plans for the F5F, including all media channels (i.e. print, web, social media, PR, etc.) 
a. Plans should include developing and engaging F5F followers on social media and increasing follower’s awareness of our Foundation (social media includes Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook.)

2. Provide marketing and public relations services in support of planned events and initiatives as listed on our Critical Path. Events and initiatives include the following:
a.	Planned events include Speaker Series (5 events), Persons Day (2 events), Canada Day and Youth Leadership Awards. (Includes pre- and post-event posts)
b.	Initiatives include Girls’ Leadership Program, Donation/Fund Campaigns, Annual Report and recognition of national/international events (i.e. International Women’s Day, International Day of the Girl, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, etc.)

3.	Develop and ensure consistent messages for the F5F.
4.	Define and inform needs for outside agency and/or supplier relationships.
5.	Attend all Board Meetings.

Role Description
•	The Marketing Committee Chair leads the Marketing Committee {“the Committee”} in the development and execution of the Committee’s vision, strategy and work plans according to the mandate set out in the Committee’s Terms of Reference. 
•	The Committee Chair is responsible for bringing the Committee’s vision, strategy and work plans to the Board for approval; no work can begin without Board approval. 
•	The Committee Chair is expected to develop and manage the Committee, including recruiting and engaging volunteers.  
•	The Committee Chair must ensure that the Committee is actively supporting the various F5F Program Committees - ideally by having a Committee member participate in Program Committee meetings on a regular or ad-hoc basis.
