Help is needed: Mask Sewing
People in your neighbourhood need your help.
Are you known for your research skills? Do you enjoy talking to new people? Are you looking for a virtual volunteer opportunity to help support your community? The CNIB is looking for a passionate individual to support the Community Education and Engagement Team in coordinating the community outreach section of our Loonies4Lips Social Media Challenge. As the Research and Outreach Coordinator you will be engaging with media, city officials, and experts in women’s groups, fashion, beauty and LGBTQ+ communities to promote Loonies4Lips and dispel myths around blindness. In addition, this campaign will be raising funds for CNIB Employment programs for Albertans living with sight loss. In this role you must be comfortable conducting research to compile a list of businesses, organizations, and groups with whom you will connect with to promote this campaign. You must be able to commit to an ongoing time commitment of 3 hours a week from September 16th until October 31st. All applicants must be 16 years or older. What is Loonies4Lips? A social media challenge aiming to raise funds and awareness of CNIB’s employment programs across Canada. The challenge will ask participants to record themselves attempting to apply lipstick or Chapstick to their lips while wearing a blindfold. When they share the recording on their social media channels, they’ll challenge five friends to take the challenge too! #Loonies4Lips Closing Date: September 16th 2020 If interested, please apply by contacting Leanna Smashnuk at 403-389-8943 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
