Did you know that every year 1 million children are identified with a developmental disability? We are proud to be launching  the 2nd edition of our fashion show benefit.
The professional Marketing/Public Relations Director is a member of the Board of Directors, and Director of the Marketing and Public Relations Committee. Applicants must have a professional portfolio in marketing and/or public relations, with not-for-profit board experience, and/or philanthropic work.

Responsibilities include 1- developing a strategic marketing and public relations plan, including short term deliverables, 2- co-recruiting Committee members with the President as needed, 3- overseeing the implementation of such a plan to ensure deliverables are met on time, 4- reporting to the Board quarterly.

Having a proven record in the implementation of marketing and public relations strategic plans, ease in directing teams, and talent in producing profitable philanthropy or not-for-profit results are required.

The change you will bring with your volunteering is sustainability of the cause, while facilitating relief, hope and empowerment to families living with a child at risk for or who has a disability.

Time Commitment: 30- to 60-minute meetings are held in person and/ or by telephone or video-conferencing on a bi-monthly basis, or as needed. Email and phone communications in between meetings are also used as needed. One- to two-hour Board meetings are held quarterly in Calgary, in person, and by telephone conference. A three-hour AGM is held annually. The minimum time commitment is a three-year mandate, for a minimum of 24 hours per year or 2 hours per month. Scheduling is flexible. Letter of reference and attestation of hours worked available upon request.

Excellence in trouble shooting during development, design, testing and plan launch.
Monthly or minimum quarterly reporting to the President and/or Board of Directors.
Certification or Education Required
Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or equivalent degree
