Google Data Manager

Did you know that every year 1 million children are identified with a developmental disability? We use Google and gmail products. The volunteer Google Data Manager is a member of the IT Committee. Applicants must have background, experience and ease in using and trouble shooting issues with GDrive and Gmail for teams, and providing tech support when needed, as well as systematically doing data back ups as regulated.  

Responsibilities include setting up folders and the like in the team drive, trouble shooting with team members within 48 hours, and managing monthly data back-ups from Google accounts and memory drives. 

Having an ease in creating folders and the like in the Google team Drive, using and managing Google Drive and Gmail, "dumbing down" their functions for non-users to understand how to best use these products, and performing regular data back-ups to ensure consistent duplicates of data, are required.

The change you will bring with your volunteering is tech support in turn facilitating relief, hope and empowerment to families living with a child at risk for or who has a disability.

Time Commitment: 30- to 60-minute monthly meetings are held in person and/ or by telephone or video-conferencing, or as needed. Email or telephone communications in between meetings are also used as needed. The minimum time commitment over 12 months is about 24 hours or 2 hours per month. Scheduling is flexible or as needed within 48 hours of a trouble shooting request by a team member. A long term part time mandate is preferred. Letter of reference and attestation of hours worked available upon request.
