Ongoing
Hybrid Remote – Calgary, AB T2H 2K6
Casual | Minimum 3–5 hours per week

ARKie Volunteer Opportunity Alert!

ARK is seeking a Silent Auction Coordinator to support our Events team.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on the lives of children with mobility challenges and their families.
Join us in helping Reshape Their World by coordinating silent auctions that raise critical funds for accessibility renovations.

Time Commitment
Approximately 3–5 hours per week on average, with flexibility depending on event timelines and seasonal workload.

ARK hosts 2–3 events per year, and silent auctions are a key component of our fundraising efforts. We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive volunteer to lead the planning and execution of the silent auction.

If you enjoy building relationships, organizing donations, and contributing to meaningful causes, we would love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the planning and execution of silent auctions for ARK events
• Identify, reach out to, and secure auction item donations from businesses and community partners
• Build and maintain relationships with donors and sponsors
• Track and organize donated items, including descriptions, values, and donor information
• Coordinate auction logistics, including item display, bidding processes, and checkout
• Work with the Events and Marketing Teams to promote auction items and maximize engagement
• Utilize tools (e.g., Zeffy) to manage auction listings and payments
• Support post-event follow-up, including donor thank-you communications and reporting
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Events Director

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in fundraising, event coordination, sales, or donor relations (preferred)
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable with outreach (email, phone, or in-person) to secure donations
• Familiarity with fundraising or event tools/software (e.g., Zeffy) is an asset
• A positive, proactive attitude and ability to work independently
• A passion for community engagement and making a difference
