ARK is looking for a Fund Development Coordinator to join our team! Do you have a knack for Fund Raising? Do you want to make a tangible impact with a child and their family? We have an opportunity for you! We are seeking a hands-on, strategic and inspiring volunteer Fund Development Coordinator to join our board. This opportunity offers plenty of flexibility and creativity and to take parts of a project and make it your own. The ideal candidate will assist ARK's Fund Development Committee to plan, organize and implement ARK’s fundraising programs and will work closely with ARK’s Board of Directors in all development and fund raising endeavors. Accessibility Renovations for Kids (ARK) is a Calgary charity, whose goal is to ease the daily lives of children with mobility challenges by renovating or modifying their family home to make it more accessible. The Fund Development Committee helps ARK make a greater impact to more kids by allowing us to fund more projects. Time Commitment: Approximately 2-6 hours per week. Duties & Responsibilities: • Upgrade and maintain the Fund Development Plan. • Help identify and pursue new sources of private, corporate and foundation Fundraising. • Support the grant writing and research volunteers and oversee proposal submissions and related follow-ups. • Support the development and management of a donor engagement plan. • Meet prospective donors and supporters on a continual basis to establish effective communications with them. • Oversee fundraising and tracking systems. • Perform other related duties as required. Requirements: • Understanding the nuances of audience targeting and story-telling. • Must be a compelling and proficient writer. • Has great analytical and people skills. • The ability to both create and oversee the execution of Fund raising plans and strategies is essential. • Resident of Calgary or surrounding areas. Qualities & Skills: • English as a primary language. • Leadership and teamwork skills. • Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask. • Attention to detail. • Strong organizational skills, time management and internet research skills. • Non-profit fundraising and professional writing experience is preferred.
