Accessibility Renovations for Kids (ARK) is a Calgary non-profit, whose goal is to ease the daily lives of children with mobility challenges by renovating or modifying their family home to make it more accessible. Grant researchers help ARK make a greater impact to more kids by allowing us to fund more projects. Here's what I have for the Fund Development Coordinator position… Fund Development Coordinator 5-6 hours/monthly ARK is looking for Coordinators to be part of our Fund Development team Do you have a knack for fundraising? Do you want to make a tangible impact with a child and their family? We have an opportunity for you! We are looking for volunteer members to join our Fund Development team. You will be providing great value to ARK by being part of a team that provides leadership on all fundraising initiatives. Team goals include identifying and managing fundraising with a focus on new opportunities and increased support from corporations, public and private organizations. Accessibility Renovations for Kids (ARK) is a Calgary charity whose goal is to ease the daily lives of children with mobility challenges by renovating their family home to make it more accessible. From special events to donor cultivation and grant writing, the Fund Development team is a critical part of ARK – without funding, we cannot help Reshape Their World. The ideal candidate can showcase ARK's mission and successes to potential funders. Previous experience in fund development is considered an asset, but not necessary. Responsibilities: Help create and implement strategies for donor development to provide a sustainable funding base for ARK. Identify and pursue new sources of private, corporate and foundation funding Help build a donor database and maintain relationships with major donors of all types and develop strategies for solicitation Qualities & Skills: Strong organizational skills, time management and internet research skills. Strong work ethic and an ability to work well under pressure; self-motivated, detail-oriented Non-profit fundraising and professional writing experience is preferred. Committed and takes volunteerism seriously.
