ARK IT Support

ARK is looking for an IT Support committee member to join our team!
 
Do you have a way with IT? Do you want to make a tangible impact with a child and their family?  We have an opportunity for you! We are looking for a volunteer IT helper to assist the IT Coordinator. You would help prepare, implement, and coordinate all the finer details of IT rollouts to ensure our community of volunteers are digitally safe and functioning!
 
Accessibility Renovations for Kids (ARK) is a Calgary non-profit, whose goal is to ease the daily lives of children with mobility challenges by renovating or modifying their family home to make it more accessible.
 
The ideal candidate is a gifted IT guru with the ability to work with all our volunteers (at whatever their tech abilities may be) to support ARK's mission.  They would also be very willing to help continue building the security culture within the organization.
 
Time Commitment: Approximately 1-2 hours per week
 
Responsibility;
- create users, enable and disable different services for them 
- assist in providing technical support for organization members
- review and help with writing IT documentation as needed
- assist with training organization members on IT and information security practices, and championing a strong infosec culture
 
Qualities & Skills:
• Degree in Computer Science, Computing or Engineering, and/or relevant experience in IT
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, time management and internet research skills
• An ability to work well under pressure; self-motivated, detail-oriented
• Non-profit IT support and G Suite experience is preferred
• Great written and oral communication skills are key  
• Strong work ethic and patience
• Committed and takes volunteerism seriously
• Last but not least you must be willing to have fun because volunteering with us is awesome
