ARK Events Team Lead

ARK is searching for an Events Team Lead to assist our organization hosting events. 

As a Calgary charity which provides home accessibility renovations for families with kids who face mobility challenges. ARK needs Events to raise awareness for its cause and fundraise by showing people what they are about, what they have achieved so far, and what they envision for the future.

An Event Lead will be responsible for organizing, mobilizing and/or coordinating the staff and event participants for the successful execution of an event. 

Time commitment: Approximately 2-4 hrs/week. 

Responsibilities: 
- Lead the planning and execution of events
- Supervise catering, auction and event day coordinators 
- Provide oversight on all the fine details of an event to make it a success. 
- Ensure the event is completed smoothly by stepping up to resolve any problems that might occur. 
- Applicants must be a resident of Calgary or surrounding areas. 

Qualities & Skills: 
- English as a primary language. 
- Excellent communication skills. 
- Strong organizational, analytical, and coordinating abilities. 
- Strong problem-solving abilities. 
- Skilled in project or event management. 
- A team player with leadership skills.
