Lead Staff Writer and Content Producer

Overview
Black Eco Bloom is seeking a talented and experienced Lead Staff Writer and Content Producer to join our Climate Change from the Black Perspective Project team.
The Climate Change from the Black Perspective (CCBP) aims to highlight climate stories and news that center around Black communities and other BIPOC communities that have been omitted thus far in the mainstream narrative.

As a Lead Staff Writer and Content Producer, you will be responsible for creating captivating content that engages our target audience and amplifies the historically underrepresented and unique voices of BIPOC communities who are disproportionately affected by climate change.
In addition to the responsibilities listed, you will also be responsible for conducting research and staying up-to-date with the latest news and trends in climate change and environmental justice. You will use this knowledge to inform your content creation and ensure that our content is timely, relevant, and impactful. As a key team member, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the world while growing your career and skills.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content.

Certification or Education Required
Bachelor's degree or experience in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field.
Experience in content creation, with a proven track record of producing high-performing content.
Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to create compelling, error-free content that resonates with our target audience.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet, at times, tight deadlines.
