Fundraising Volunteer

Black Eco Bloom is a new sustainable development organization that focuses on supporting individuals who identify with the Black woman experience in their journeys in the environmental sector in Canada and abroad. We want to create a space that nurtures Black women, Black transgender women and Black non-binary individuals to be leaders in the environmental sector. Our volunteers will gain experience in a start-up environment and contribute to the growth of the organization. 

About the Role 

The Fundraising Volunteer works with the Fund Development Lead to procure funding for Black Eco Bloom. Funding goals are dependent on our quarterly & annual goals. 

Essential Responsibilities:
- assists the fund development coordinator with tasks
- assists with fundraising (ie. for a crowdfunding campaign, they will help with the technical aspects like collecting data, sending out thank you info to donors etc.)

Essential Qualifications:
- experience as a fundraiser or in a fund development-related role
- experience with grant writing
- organized
- degree or diploma in business or business administration is considered an asset
