Content Creation Volunteer About Black Eco Bloom Black Eco Bloom (BEB) is a new sustainable development organization that focuses on supporting individuals who identify with the Black woman experience in their journeys in the environmental sector in Canada and abroad. We want to create a space that nurtures Black women, Black transgender women and Black non-binary individuals to be leaders in the environmental sector. About The Role Black Eco Bloom is looking for a Content Creator to write and design various digital media pieces. The role of the Content Creation volunteer will primarily be to support the social media & marketing team with content creation. This includes creating posts, tweets, stories, TikToks etc. Creating graphics for various platforms & mediums including our webpage, event promotion, posters and other forms of branded content. Essential Responsibilities: Content creation & graphic design Edit & proofread content Publish content according to the social media calendar Supporting Social Media leads with weekly tasks Engaging with Black Eco Bloom’s audience Brainstorming content ideas
Certification or Education Required
Previous experience as a social media manager, marketing associate and/or graphic designer Experience using Canva, Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator Familiarity with social media and marketing strategies and ability to create attractive and engaging content Engaging written and visual communication skills Knowledge of the Environmental Justice space in Canada and abroad (able to brainstorm relevant content, interact with audience and re-post relevant content)
