Marketing Lead Volunteer

Black Eco Bloom is a new sustainable development organization that focuses on supporting individuals who identify with the Black woman experience in their journeys in the environmental sector in Canada and abroad. We want to create a space that nurtures Black women, Black transgender women and Black non-binary individuals to be leaders in the environmental sector. Our volunteers will gain experience in a start-up environment and contribute to the growth of the organization. 

The role of the Marketing Lead will primarily be to promote Black Eco Bloom (BEB) through different ad campaigns, depending on BEBs goals at the time. 

Essential Responsibilities 

- Marketing BEB through paid ads
- Creating & facilitating ad campaigns
- Working with Executive Team & Social Media lead on marketing goals
- Optimizing BEBs online presence through paid ads & SEO in collaboration with Social Media Lead & Communications Lead

Essential Qualifications:
- Previous experience in related role 
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a completely remote environment & maintain regular communication with the team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently & collaboratively
- Knowledge of google ads & facebook ads
- Knowledge of digital marketing principles 
- Ability to work autonomously
- Experience with graphic design 

Nice to have’s:
- Currently pursuing or have completed a degree/diploma/certificate in Marketing 
- Non-profit experience
- Experience working in an environmental justice organization
- Knowledge of anti-racist/anti-colonial principles
