Volunteer - International Public Relation

STEM Canada is a registered not-for-profit global program specializing in advanced STEM-based educational curricula that emphasize the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school, with a mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, preparing students for globally competitive results.

Position Overview

We are looking for an International Public Relations Specialist to lead the execution of global PR campaigns that elevate our public image beyond the local level. This role will focus on building and nurturing relationships with international partners, media, and stakeholders to ensure our reputation is positively represented across global markets.

Key Responsibilities

•	Writing press releases targeted at international markets.
•	 Drafting speeches for senior management for international media appearances.
•	 Collaborating with the public relations team to develop new strategies for enhancing 
         our global reputation.
•	Leveraging online platforms, including social media, to boost our public image by 
        sharing articles, case studies, and trending content.
•	Addressing media inquiries and ensuring consistent international media coverage.
•	Working closely with the marketing team to coordinate promotional campaigns.
•	Analyzing public perception of the organization through international surveys and 
        monitoring media coverage.

 Qualifications

•	Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, communications, English, marketing or 
        another related field
•	Experience in handling a press conference
•	 3+ years of experience within the international public relations department
•	Strong written and oral communication skills
•	Impeccable English (proficiency in multiple languages is a significant asset)
•	Strong presentation skills
•	MS Office proficiency
•	Familiarity with project management tools, such as G-Suite, Asana, and Trello
