STEM Canada is a registered not-for-profit global program that specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, designed to teach students in the STEM fields, yielding globally competitive results. Responsibilities Write, edit, and distribute press releases to various media outlets. Develop and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and other media professionals. Ensure all press releases are accurate, compelling, and aligned with SMAC's brand and messaging. Monitor media coverage and measure the impact of press releases. Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to identify newsworthy stories and events. Keep up to date with industry trends and media practices to effectively promote the organization. Qualifications Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills are considered an asset. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with media databases and PR distribution tools is a plus.
