International Women's Month Planning Committee - Volunteer

Start date: Immediate start
Volunteering duration: 6 weeks (may extend if interested)
Time commitment: 4 hours per week
Location: Remote, Virtual office

STEM Canada is a registered not for profit global program that specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, designed to teach students in the STEM fields, yielding globally competitive results.

Duties include:
- Working with our committee on a weekly basis for 6 weeks to help coordinate an execute our International Women's Month campaign.
- Ensure that tasks are being completed and are in adherence with our timeline and campaign schedule.
- Bring new and exciting ideas to the table to ensure that the International Women's Month campaign is a success.
- Attend thirty minute team meetings on a weekly basis for the next six weeks.

Areas of need:
Team Lead / Campaign Manager:
- Oversees the entire campaign, sets goals, and ensures that all team members are on track.
- Coordinates efforts, monitors progress, and makes strategic decisions.

Marketing and Communications Manager:
- Develops the campaign's messaging and content.
- Manages email marketing, social media, and other promotional materials.

Donor Relations Coordinator:
- Cultivates relationships with existing and potential donors.
- Responds to inquiries and manages donor stewardship.

Design and Creative Specialist:
- Creates visually appealing graphics, images, and videos for promotional materials.
- Ensures a consistent and compelling visual brand.

Social Media Manager:
- Develops and executes the social media strategy.
- Posts updates, interacts with followers, and monitors engagement.

Email Marketing Specialist:
- Manages email campaigns from design to distribution.
- Tracks email performance and adjusts strategies accordingly.

Content Writer:
- Writes persuasive and emotionally compelling content for various campaign materials, including emails, blog posts, and website content.

Web Developer/Designer:
- Ensures the campaign website is functional, user-friendly, and mobile-responsive.
- Updates and optimizes the website as needed.

Data Analyst:
- Tracks and analyzes campaign data and metrics.
- Provides insights to guide decision-making throughout the campaign.

Volunteer Coordinator:
- Recruits and manages campaign volunteers.
- Assigns roles and responsibilities to volunteers and ensures they are well-informed.

Giving Coordinator:
- Provides support to donors and campaign supporters, addressing their questions and concerns.
- Plans virtual or in-person events related to the campaign.
- Manages logistics and coordinates event details.

Community Engagement Specialist:
- Engages with community partners, local organizations, and influencers to broaden the campaign's reach.

Donation Processing Specialist:
- Manages the online giving platform and ensures donations are processed securely and efficiently.

PR and Media Relations Coordinator:
- Handles media outreach and press releases to generate media coverage for the campaign.
