STEM Canada is a registered not-for-profit global program that specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, designed to teach students in the STEM fields, yielding globally competitive results. Description- We are seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to join our volunteer team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating visually compelling designs that communicate the mission and values of STEM Canada. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for producing a variety of digital and print materials to support the organization's educational programs, marketing efforts, and outreach campaigns. Key Responsibilities • Create visually compelling designs for digital platforms (websites, social media, newsletters) and print materials (brochures, event posters, promotional flyers) in alignment with STEM Canada’s brand identity • Collaborate with the marketing, communications, and educational teams to develop visual assets that support educational initiatives, marketing campaigns, and public relations efforts • Maintain and update existing visual assets to ensure consistency in brand messaging across all platforms and materials • Collaborating with the team to brainstorm and develop new design concepts. • Assist in the design of presentations, infographics, and other educational materials for workshops, seminars, and public outreach Qualifications • Post-secondary education or equivalent in graphic design • 3+ years of experience • Ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written • Able to respond to urgent requests in a highly organized and positive manner Benefits • Enhance your graphic design skills by working on a variety of educational and marketing projects in both digital and print formats • Build a diverse portfolio that demonstrates your ability to support a mission-driven organization with real-world projects • Gain experience in the non-profit sector and improve your ability to manage design projects in a collaborative environment SMAC is strongly committed to equity and diversity within its community.
