International Women's Month: Social Media Team - Volunteer

Start date: Immediate start
Time commitment: 4 hours per week
Location: Remote, Virtual office

Are you a Marketing or Communications student or a recent graduate? The Stem Montessori Academy of Canada is looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to be part of the social media team for the International Women's Month Campaign. Working closely with the Marketing Team, the social media team will take the lead on SMAC’s online presence, help spread awareness of STEM, and share information on our programs and initiatives. This is a remote position within Canada. 

STEM Canada is a registered not for profit global program that specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, designed to teach students in the STEM fields, yielding globally competitive results.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manages all social media pages for SMAC (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
- Develops content to recruit and engage new volunteers and potential students
- Shares information of programs and new initiatives within the SMAC network 
- Engages personal network to develop potential partnerships and sponsorships 
- Attends virtual meetings with the Marketing and HR Team 

- Marketing or Communications student or recent graduate. 
- Superior social media skills, understanding, and knowledge of digital trends.
- Ability to work alone and in a team environment.
- Exceptional communication and writing skills.
- Must be able to come into the virtual office at least once per week for 4 hours.
