STEM Canada is a registered not-for-profit global program that specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, designed to teach students in the STEM fields, yielding globally competitive results. Location: Remote Time commitment: 6 hours a week Description: Do you want to be part of a dynamic international STEM Canada YouTube production team? Are you passionate about creating compelling video content and eager to gain hands-on experience in the world of digital media? We invite you to showcase your skills and make an impact by volunteering for 4 months on our exciting new STEM Canada YouTube channel project. As a valued member of our team, you’ll collaborate with talented professionals, contribute to innovative content, and build a portfolio that stands out in the industry. Join us and turn your creativity into captivating stories that will reach audiences around the globe. Key Responsibilities: Keep track of and address comments on videos, interact with viewers, and promote a welcoming and diverse community environment. Promote and make it easier for discussions to take place regarding our content by managing conversations, responding to inquiries, and addressing feedback. Create and execute plans to enhance viewer involvement by producing interactive content, polls, and community posts. Collect and evaluate viewer responses in order to grasp community needs and preferences, and offer feedback to the content creation team. Organize and carry out events centered on the community, like interactive Q&As, prize distributions, and partnerships with fellow content creators. Monitor and document community involvement data, such as sentiment of comments, viewer engagement, and trend in growth. Requirements: Proven experience as a Community & Engagement Manager or similar role, with a strong portfolio of successful YouTube campaigns. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus. Understanding YouTube's platform and community features. Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and develop innovative strategies. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Passion for STEM education and commitment to promoting STEM literacy and application. Familiarity with analytics tools and grasp of essential engagement metrics.
